BOOKS BY JIM BUNTE
Thanks for visiting my site and for checking out this page. I started my career in the late 1980s as a magazine editor, writing about model railroading, a hobby I had enjoyed as a child and began revisiting when I had children of my own. That lead to a job working at a model train company (Lionel) and eventually plunging into the nascent internet industry. (My main job is building and caring for websites of small businesses all over the world.)
But in between, I write books. Usually I do them by myself, but occasionally I work with others who have awesome content and no way to get it published.
If i can help you with a book, drop me a note through the contact form below.
GRAND PRIX 1966
My friend and fellow ex-Californian Blake Delgado had a big box of Kodachrome slides his father Luis had taken in 1966 during the filming of Grand Prix, the Academy Award-winning race film starring James Garner. Luis and Jim were childhood friends and business partners; Luis also had three cameos in the film. None of the images had ever been seen before the book’s release, and it has been warmly received by Formula 1 and Garner fans alike.
Bill Nole’s Classic Guide to Vintage O Plasticville
Bill Nole’s Classic Guide to Vintage “O” Plasticville is a must-have for all Plasticville, Lionel, American Flyer and Marx collectors. Long considered the definitive work on this collectible category, Bill’s book features an item-by-item look at every Plasticville O gauge item ever created by Bachmann during the postwar period. I first met Bill in 1990 while photographing his amazing Plasticville model railroad, and I helped him get his book back in print.
